Surprise Birthday
This was a new one for us!! The boys and I planned this one without Shawn!! During the summer around Oklahoma at the local Kum N Go gas station they have BOGO tickets for Frontier City and White Water Bay in Oklahoma city. We had talked about going for a few years, and this year we were going to do it!!
When it came time to pack, I didn't let Shawn pack so he would not know where or what was going to happen.
On departure day I drove. Now normally for us going to OKC its a strait shot down I40, no tolls, all highway. To through him off of where we were going I headed up to Tulsa to take the Will Rogers turnpike, not thinking there would be like 100 toll stops (ok so there was 3 but still come on)
He had no idea where we going until we pulled into the parking! It was so amazing
Because I'm always early, we did arrive about 30 minutes before they opened. This gave us enough time to put sunblock on (its August after all) and get all excited!
As we made our way in we went to the ship swing
Bumper cars next
Then over for some go cart racing
William and I went on this weird ride that spun around
Break for lunch
Then off to the long line for the roller coaster. Shawn had never been before. As we waited in line Brandon decided that he was not going on that thing so I stayed off with him.
William and I were going to get on another ride but unfortunately after all the spinning he got sick.
We asked if he was ready to leave yet and he said no. So we went and changed into our swim wear and went over to there giant splash pad!!
William wasn't getting any better so we called it quits and went over to our hotel for the evening. Ordered room service for the first time ever. Shawn and Brandon took a quick swim in the hotel pool, and we let William rest.
Next day, asked William how he was feeling and if he was up for White Water Bay. He was good to go!!
Early again!!! White Water Bay has this totally awesome little village type setup at the entrance. All the little shops are different food/ice cream and shops. Totally cool.
When they drop the chain its like an all our battle cry of screaming children (and adults!) We made our way over the huge slide and some tube slides. One that we called the toilet.... because it looked like one on the inside!!
Was all set to take this one one... to high of a clime!
We all were getting ready to try this crazy thing but the height and creaking of wood made a few people a little too nervous. So William and I continued on!
Lazy River
More crazy slides, and some other crazy adventurers
LUNCH TIME!!!
William and I decided to go down the big slide... that was crazy....
Loving the lazy (ish) river
They even had a tide pool with waves and all
One more trip down the big slides. After packing up and ready to leave we stopped in Brick Town for dinner before heading home!
Travel on!!!
