Robbers Cave - The Lost Trail

Its Robbers Cave, we have been there like a thousand times, what could go wrong!

But seriously, the weather was perfect for a hike, a nice 65°- 75°, cool breeze, just perfect!

We pack up, picked up my mom, and headed down to the cave. On the way down we were talking about a trail Shawn and I have not been but wanted to try out, and that mom had been on there! It was about a 2 ish mile hike, simple enough!

We get there, load up some snacks, find the trail (fallow the blue dots) and headed out! For the most part it fallows the river, goes up a very steep incline, now your on top of the mountain.

We stopped for a break.

Fallowed on and came to an amazing area that was a must see and explore.

Continued on and came across this flat area that was also a stop and see!

Now we were doing good up to this point... however we lost the blue dot... and came across the service road... thank goodness for GPS on our phones, just have to figure out what way is north, we got turned in the right direction and fallowed the service road for about 2 miles ish.

We finally came across the blue dot trail, thank goodness! Only problem is its another 2 miles back to car from this point!

We went a little ways onto the trail and stopped for a much needed break!

We just about speed walked the rest of the way!

We make it back the car and didn't even fallow the trail, just cut right through the woods to the parking lot.

We had a very good lunch (of course anything after that hike would have been amazing)

We were planning on running around on some rocks after the hike... but that was about 3 miles ago, and leg day was official over!!

Travel On!!
