Tour of the ship!

Sunday May 20th

Back home!

We woke up pretty early, made sure our bags had everything packed. We had one of two options we could put tags on our bags leave them by the door outside the room and wait for our section to be called to exit the ship, or we could go to the theater room with our bags in hand and exit as soon as we doc and are free to do so. We chose option 2. Filled out our reentry forms to come back into the country. And sat in the theater room.

When it came time to leave we laughed because we felt like cattle. Everyone walking at the same pace down the long tunnel, then depending on our form are put into another line and given the okay to pass through.

We were so glad that our car was close after the 30-45 minute long walk we just went through. Loaded our gear up and took off.

Because it was only about 8 am on a Sunday morning we didn't have much to choose from, but we grabbed a bite to eat and started our 8+ hour drive home.

We stopped right outside of Houston to see the statue of Sam Houston. They were also doing something with the local military that day too about the time we had stopped, so that was kind of cool to see! Oh and Shawn found a spider in the bathroom!!!

Made our way through Houston and stopped at a Taco bell for lunch. See 7 days no Mexican or tax-mex if you will, we had to get our fix man!!

The rest of the way home we didn't stop in less we needed gas.

We were so happy to be home! We picked up the kiddos, ordered a pizza and waited for it to be delivered..... after 90 minutes of waiting we canceled our order and went down the road to McDonald's. We were so hungry, and were trying to figure out how to walk on this flat surface again! Talk about sea legs!

This was a totally fun and amazing experience! Would do it again in a heart beat!

Travel on!!
